The rain is coming, and so are the fish As Autumn progresses, the temperature is dropping, and the rain is on the way. Since this year has been extremely dry, with very little rain and river levels at rock bottom, most of the fish are waiting in the estuary. When the rain comes and the river levels rise, there should be a great run of fish, so be prepared to fish through this period as this will be the best of the seasons fishing. In other previous dry years, when the rain has come there have been fish everywhere for a while.
