The rain is edging ever so slowly to the east but it will remain - TopicsExpress

The rain is edging ever so slowly to the east but it will remain damp the next few hours from S. Vt. through the Berkshires and mid Hudson valley. Lots of clouds linger tonight, but they should thin a bit late at night which will allow for patchy fog and temps. falling into the uppe 30s to lower 40s by AM. A decent Thur. on the way, thinner clouds, so expect filtered sun, dry weather and highs in the mid 50s...near 50° and dry on Halloween. Then much colder this weekend as a large coastal storm develops (but too far east to hit us with snow, so a miss from it) but it will bring down a quick hitting surge of very chilly air. We may make the upper 40s on Sat. before temps. begin gradually dropping through the PM, widely sctd rain showers...possibly mixing with snow flakes later in the day...thats more likely at elevation...but all precip. will be nuisance type and probably quite limited. Sunday looks a windy and quite cold, highs near 40, gusts 30-35 mph...but the cold is in and out quickly with considerable warming back well into the 50s early next week.
