The real Ekiti Thieves know themselves. For four years, Fayemi did not conduct the local government election. The caretaker committee were nominated by him and his wife plus other loyal aides. For four years, all the 16 local governments allocation were unaccounted for. Rather, they were holed up under the whim and caprices of Fayemi and Bisi Omo Logbalogba his wife. Last year, All the 16 local Govts workers went on strike for over 3 months because of non payment of their salaries. The teachers too. Same thing this year before and after the election. Students bursaries were not paid for 3 years. All Fayemi was telling everyone then, was, Ekiti had no money. But a day to his electoral defeat, he spent over N2billion to pay part of the arrears of the workers. Over N500 million naira of this money was paid to the students for their bursaries. Everyone is talking about legacy. What legacy does a criminal war graduate like Fayemi have that is worth anything? For four years, he ruled Ekiti like his conquered fiefdom. No election, no salaries paid, no promotion for workers and the Ekiti people who were feeling these sufferings said enough, but an APC barrow-Pusher and some illiterate aboki from Kano, a sugarcane seller with a chinko NokLa or techno TV phone are calling them names. If they are stomach infrastructures voters, who Made them so if not your Fayemi, Mr Progressive. Thank God Fayose is back. Ekiti Kete can have a true sense of belonging in their state.
