The real story....... On the evening of Sunday 18th August 2013 while sailing its vessel in the vicinity of the Port of Spain harbour, the MV Harbour master sailed into low-tide waters and stumbled upon un-identified wreckage. The Captain immediately stopped the vessel and contacted the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard to investigate the incident. After consultation with the authorities, a decision was taken to disembark the passengers to the nearest shore-point in order to reduce the weight on the vessel, to allow easier movement as a result of the low-tide. At no point in time was the safety of the passengers on board the vessel at risk. Shuttle arrangements were made with Kalloos Auto Rentals to transport passengers to the point of origin to collect their vehicles. The combination of the decreased weight and the rising of the tide resulted in the vessel naturally drifting off the wreckage. The Harbour Master was then able to resume its journey to its seaport without difficulty or damages. As a pre-caution, the MV Harbour Master will undergo a thorough inspection to ensure the continued safety of the vessel. The Management of the MV Harbour Master will like to thank all patrons for their understanding and patience and will also like to thank the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard, Maritime Officials and Kalloos Auto Rentals for their quick response in assisting us during this unforeseen event
