The reason I created Michigan Beagler here and on the web, was to inform people who love beagles wether or not they hunt with them. I wanted a site that supported state laws and our rights to hunt and fish or just go paddle a canoe in a clean lake. I dont really like getting political here, but on some issues you just have to share them and speak your mind. If you dont like something, feel free to complain to me about it. I will listen and even justify why I posted something. I get hate mail and threats several times a year on my email which are turned over to the state police. But this sit is about the beagle and for the beagle, and for those who love the beagle and the hunt. Same with michignbeagler its all about beagles and being helpful to everyone. My issue with the wolves has nothing to do with hating them, I do respect them they are an apex predator. But when a species gets out of control it needs to be brought back into control, and thats why we hunt. We hunt to keep sickness out of our deer herds, I am sure you have seen what CWD does to deer, elk and moose and bovine TB. If it wasnt for hunters these would go on and there would be no control, and there would be no wildlife! Let me show you what can happen to a rabbit just because we had a warm winter. This rabbit was un-edible but at least it will no longer suffer, those are ticks not tumours covering the rabbit. We shot several in 2012 like that. So I dont always rant mostly I am here to share my love of what I do, and hopefully help you with tips and training information for your hound!
