The recent floods in J&K are proving to be the worst enemy of children’s education. Flood waters and landslides have ruined many a schools and it will take a long time for the classes to resume. In an effort to ensure that the flood-affected children don’t get alienated from education, Save the Children has setup a temporary classroom for children residing in the relief camps next to the railway track in the Pattan town of Baramulla district. In the coming days, we will be setting up around 30 Winter Education Camps for children. There is an urgent requirement of teaching and learning material, stationery, books and teachers.
