The right words always create the right atmosphere. When communicating with your spouse and family members, consciously speak nothing but positive words, no matter what the situation may be. Even if you feel your spouse may be difficult, never use a negative word as the description of him/her, not only with your words but in your thoughts. Instead use the Word of God to frame them (Hebrews 11:3) and you would begin to see them indeed become the man/woman you desire. Remember that everytime you speak, you are creating something, and when right words are used, right things MUST happen. It may be tough in the energy of the flesh but as you receive grace from above, you will do it with ease, thereby changing the atmosphere of the home for the better.
