The role of a military chaplain is to provide guidance. That guidance doesn’t need to take the form of spiritual advice. And as the country becomes increasingly diverse on religious matters, calls for a military chaplaincy that reflects this range of thought will continue to be heard. That’s not about anti-Christian prejudice. It’s about making sure that all belief systems receive the equal treatment the Constitution demands.
