The rules of the game: In your status, list 10 books that have stayed with you in some way. Go with your gut and dont think too hard. They dont have to be the right books or great works of literature, just ones that have affected you in some way. (I was tagged by Fazri and Rin some time back actually. Here goes nothing!) P/S: My selection of reads are pretty kiddish if compared to everyone else lulz. 1) Enid Blytons The Faraway Tree series. - As a kid I utterly ADORED Enids works that I would re-read them countless times over the next few years. Some of my other favorite books include Bimbo & Topsy and Mr. Pink Whistle. Two thumbs up if youve read them too! :D 2) The Lord of The Rings Trilogy by JRR Tolkien - I recall this one fairly easy ONLY because it took me 2 years just to finish the whole thing! LOL. I cant remember the entire storyline right now though, but I still remember bits and pieces of the plot :3 3) Harry Potter series by JK Rowling. - First three books, I saved up my birthday money to buy them all in one shot. Never regretted it. 4) Mercedes Lackeys The Black Swan - The book I had gotten when I went for National Service (yes I went for that). Its a slightly darker version of the Swan Princess, and one could say that this is a fan fiction of the original story? I love Odile (main character) in this one :3 5) Mercedes Lackeys Vows and Honor Trilogy. - One bombalicious sorceress and one sword-sworn female warrior. Out there to protect all women in need (cursed by the sword she wields). I was hooked the moment I had gotten this book in my hands! 6) Septimus Heap by Angie Sage. - I started reading this on a whim. Then I discovered I liked the plot. Sourcery and stuff, yep. I like this! (A bit darke though lol) 7) The Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett - A witch in the making, a bunch of vulgar teeny tiny blue men who loves nothing more than to drink and fight...and an evil queen bent to kidnap children for her amusement. :D 8) The Pendragon Series by DJ MacHale. - I didnt quite fancy this series at first, but after a few reads I got myself pretty hooked to the plot. A bit....nonsensical at times, but it was all good in the end :3 9) The School of Good and Evil by Soman Chainani. - I had gotten this book as a birthday present this year actually, How do you define what is good and what is bad? Are all Nevers meant to have horrible endings, so they should relish their biggest victory in suppressing the Evers? Why is it that the pretty one was cast as a Never and the obviously-Never-material thrown into the School of Good? 10) Eragon by Christopher Paolini. - Dragons, elves....well what is there not to like? :P Not tagging anyone. Feel free to do this if you want :)
