The same woman artisan confection-maker also made glace fruit. Its a little bit of a cliché to describe fruit or candies as being Jewel like. but its hard to look at these candied pears, here caught in a pour of sunlight, and not go there. Oh, my. But look, too, at these pale rose-blushed pears au nature. Also so sensual, plump, and fragrant. We took one home and had it for dessert at lunch, with half and a Nice macaroon each.
