The self is a cognizant primeval particle of indestructible, indivisible, infinitesimal, invisible, inconceivable and immutable anti-material energy. Being part and parcel of the Supreme Lord he is naturally meant to serve the Supreme Lord, just as the hand being part and parcel of the body is naturally meant to serve the whole body. One of the best things about the process of Krishna consciousness is that allows you to turn the most dreadful experience of death into the most exciting of all adventures. In this material world everyone is frightened to death of death.
