The sequence of the elephants on the trampoline made me recollect the statement by one of the scientists when they were receiving the Nobel Prize two years ago for discovering graphene, the two dimensional carbon array, actually a 2D diamond, that is present in all samples of graphite. Now bigger sheets can be made synthetically. But in his acceptance speech said that graphene is so strong that a sheet of the material one carbon thick is so strong that if you had an elephant doing a hand stand on top of a pencil with the point down on a sheet of graphene the elephant would not be able to pierce the graphene sheet!
