The sermon this morning at church was the best Ive heard Pastor Andre preach, it was about the cost to being completely surrendered to the Lord even if it means going to a closed country to the Gospel or worse - a Martyr for the sake of Christ. It was powerful to also hear a young mans testimony from our church, originally from Algeria - say that he and his brother were on an execution list because of their faith in Christ, and God miraculously spared his and his brothers lives. Later I met up in Bastille (Paris) with someone from the Japanese church, also with the leader of the Arabic church - both at Temple du Marais. The highlight though of the day, was all that happened at the Chinese church of Belleville; when I arrived early for the 3:30pm service, I met two Chinese sisters who live in Spain and are visiting France for the first time - when she heard me on the phone talking in Spanish with a Venezuela leader about a music project, she started talking to me too in Spanish and after that we talked Spanish (and a little Chinese) the whole afternoon. She started talking about a minister who was visiting from China originally from the USA and I told her I though it was someone I met in 2005 on a mission trip to China and Vietnam - sure enough when he arrived and I spoke to him; Pastor Dennis Balcombe, I realized IT WAS INDEED the pastor I had met 9 years ago in Hong Kong. The worship songs during service were almost all in Chinese including our CFNI song The Lord Reigns - in Chinese here in the heart of Paris. Also building a friendship with the Chinese Pastors wife who lives here in Paris. and later saw YWAM friend from Switzerland there and also the Pastor of the largest Chinese church in Paris that I met in 2010; Pastor John Limm. Will post much of the video footage tomorrow, for now just a few photos.
