The shoplifter from Kerikeri featured the other day, has been a busy woman! She was picked up travelling south of Whangarei yesterday having fleeced a number of stores in Whangarei. The 23 yr old was located using our latest tool, a Automatic Number Plate Recognition system fitted to one of our patrol vehicles which has the ability to read number plates and check them to see if the vehicle or its occupants are wanted by Police. Along with the woman featured in the photo, a 33 yr old female was also locked up. Both will appear in the Whangarei District Court facing numerous shoplifting charges.
