The side effects of looking good Most of my clients hire me because they simply want to get in shape. In talking with them, that generally means they simply want to look better. I mean, who doesnt want to look better on the beach? Certainly there are some that I train for health reasons, or whatever, but the majority are just looking for a little change. While we are training to get slimmer, or more muscular or to simply try to get that elusive six-pack, a bunch of side effects occur. These can come in many forms, but there are a few common ones. The first is better self esteem. Often as people start seeing progress, they start to feel better about themselves! This makes them start eating better, and training harder which often yields even better results! The next, is an increase in strength. Suddenly, doing things like carrying laundry up the steps, or carrying in the groceries gets easier. Additionally, you may find that other changes in the body can occur such as better cholesterol or lowered blood pressure. People, if you wish to avoid these types of side effects, DO NOT exercise or eat healthier! Getting involved in an exercise program, will end up causing all of these side effects! I hope you all choose wisely, and simply decide to get into better shape so you might look a little better in that bathing suit. The side effects are well worth it! Scott
