The situation at AES today with a large number of students and teachers coming down with a stomach virus, is exactly what it was.....a stomach virus. There were a few students that contracted this virus a couple days ago and then the students were sent back to school by their parents, which inevitably spread the virus to other students. The rule of not sending children to school if they have a fever or if they are throwing up for 24 hours without medicine is set in place to avoid situations such as this as well as keeping our school healthy and safe. This virus has absolutely nothing to do with our lunchroom nor the food being served; so please do not believe any rumors of such. Our school is dedicated to the well being of every student, teacher and staff at AES and we have taken every measure to ensure the spread of this virus will be kept at a minimum. AES faculty and the PTO wish all students, teachers and families a speedy recovery.
