The situation in the middle east particularly in Egypt and Syria is quiet disturbing and very unfortunate. It a region predominant of muslims population and yet, engaging themselves in battle, killing each other. The war in Syria, over two years now, has claimed over 80000 Muslim lives and nothing seem to play out to find lasting solution and restore peace to that country. The recent development in Egypt is another area of concern. A situation where a democratically elected president was removed simply because of the protest by some liberal muslims against the introduction of Islam to the constitution by the president. This liberal people who claimed to be Muslims are able to endure Mubarak, the formal president with his tyrannical style of leadership for more than three decades but, they are unable to endure ISLAM for a single year. I think we Muslims should reflect on this and use the this period of Ramadan to pray for the muslims all to purify our heart and grant us peace and security
