The sound of rain never sounded so sweet. Today, two places that we serve (Lo Coco and Cristo Transforma Rehab center) were threatened by fire. It has not really rained here for several months and a small fire spread in a matter of minutes to cover acres. The locals used 5 gallon buckets - no fire trucks - to attack it. We arrived with The Fellowship Church team just after it was controlled. As we spent time in the village two embers restarted in different spots and we joined the bucket brigade to bring buckets of water and put them out. Anyway to the praise Jesus stuff. We prayed on site and have continued to ask God to bring saturating rain. As I shared this with Brooke and began to post to Facebook just 20 minutes ago - the rains came! We are on the other side of town, but are hopeful that God is raining strong showers and reigning in watchful care over those we all love there. Please continue to ask him for saturating rains tonight. Thank you.
