The statement says that the ouster of a democratically elected president through channels other than election is something no country can understand and accept at all. It says further that President Morsi as the elected president of Egypt is expected to be given due respect in this new period as well. The Foreign Ministry statement also stresses that Turkey hopes Egypt will soon have a civilian administration respecting human rights and basic freedoms and deriving its strength from constitutional legitimacy. Turkey will continue to extend support to the people of Egypt, and believes that problems in this country will be solved through democracy and social consensus, the statement further says
