The statistics make note of hybrid electric sales specifically but it may be interesting to look at alternative energy vehicles as a whole instead of just this portion. How many of the Prius are still sitting in the lot because people are gearing up for Hydrogen vehicles or all electric? Shrink in one portion of the alternative fuels market doesnt necessarily mean that everyone is rushing back to traditional gas and diesel.
