The statistics on this are awful One third of the world’s girls are married before the age of 18 and 1 in 9 are married before the age of 15. (icrw.org/child-marriage-facts-and-figures). Girls who are married usually can not continue their education and often become mothers before their bodies are physically prepared to do so - putting both themselves and their baby at much higher risk.
