The steadiest and heaviest rain is over, but occasional light rain or showers will persist in the area through then night with scattered showers or patchy drizzle through Friday morning as the low slowly pulls away. We wont have any appreciable clearing until Friday night, which will set us up for a pretty nice Saturday weatherwise with some sunshine and temps near or slightly above 60°. A front and upper air disturbance will bring in a chance of showers Saturday night, especially from the Mohawk valley-Capital Region and VT on north, then windy, cooler weather on Sunday, but not cold, temps in the 50s. Could be a few instability showers in the Adks/Vermont on Sunday, but overall much drier weather for the weekend. A couple of warmer days coming next week, especially Tuesday and Wed. with highs in the 60s. More tonight on CBS6 news between 5pm and 7pm
