“The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but - TopicsExpress

“The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1Co 15:56 -57 Death of this mortal body is inevitable and follows the course of nature and the laws of God. We believers should not fear death because we are not separated from God either now or after we are changed (dead). Because we are alive to God through Christ and we are living forever. Our bodies will be changed…”in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.” 1Co 15:52 -53 And sin which received its power from the law was dealt with for us…” having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.” Col_2:14 The law was the “certificate of debt” that held us captive BEFORE we came to Christ! BUT NOW we are free in Christ and cry Abba Father to the God of all.
