The story of the Good Samaritan is a powerful reminder about doing good because its within your power to do so. Its also about not holding back your hand when you have the power to do good for another person. In these days of religious intolerance, it shows that we need to be able to go beyond tolerance for those who we might not necessarily get along with because of differences. What Differences Do You Need to Overcome? The difference you have with a person or a group of people could be based on difference in cultures, color of skin, ethnic background, language, social or economic class (e.g. Im better off than him or her), education, job, religion etc. Whats the specific difference you need to overcome to become more like the Good Samaritan (thats been gone for ages, but that were still talking about today!).
