The student body at the University of Guyana (UG) has always been blessed with great students leaders who have risen from the ranks among their colleagues, bringing many issues to the fore, advancing change. I have had the privilege during my time at our prestigious institution to meet many such students among them, Glenfield G. Dennison. He is a student with a tremendous passion to right injustices in whatever form they arise, whether championing the cause of a local law school or protesting the arbitrary way tuition fees where “adjusted” recently at UG, or challenging our Vice Chancellor for greater stewardship of our University’s finances. I have no doubt Mr. Dennison will go on to represent our students with distinction and that he has all the qualities necessary to lead the UGSS as President – Sherod Avery Duncan, UGSS President 2009-2010.
