The sun is slowly settling on that far western horizon … out past the curve in the railway tracks that mark the route out of the village towards Brancepeth just a few miles down the line … we too are ‘settling’ … we have had a phone call from our beloved who has also had a very productive day helping her mother sort through some small part of a lifetime of ‘treasures & memories’ … when a 92 year old prepares to move it has a complexity akin to postulating new dichotomies on the human condition … we were pleased to note we both have eaten well and we were mutually concerned about each other aches & pains in a very familiar ‘spousal’ way … Time for me to take my leave of these spaces and have a hot shower and then a bit of R&R with another recently recorded documentary series … these photographs are randomly shot 15 minutes ago out the back way … we have some good green growth now … and from the looks of the sky it will be well watered sometime in the next 24 hours … May you sleep dry and warm this night … and may you too know green spaces … and soft warm summer breezes in the night ….
