The temperature this morning is above freezing and there is no black ice on roads in our district. Just like every morning when we have the likelihood of freezing weather, I have driven the roads throughout our district well before any bus routes would need to start and met with local police officers to get a true picture of any issues that we should be aware of. We will start on a normal schedule this morning. Due to the likelihood of adverse weather this afternoon, we may have an early dismissal. Student safety will be our top priority when making the decision. Thanks for being patient and understanding as we make the most informed decisions. I know many would like a decision the night before when weather is coming, but today was a prime reason that we wait until we know for sure. Roads are safe right now so a delay was not needed. I am in constant contact with emergency management for our county and local officials who help me monitor the roads and all weather issues. I will do my best to make the best decision as early as possible for any delays, early dismissals or cancellations again this week. Please be safe and stay tuned. David Stegall
