“The tenets of rugged individualism, personal determinism, self-will, imagination, and personal creativeness held by the masses are equally antipathetic to the good of the Greater State. These willful and unaligned forces are no more than illnesses which will bring about disaffection, disunity, and at length the collapse of the group to which the individual is attached.” Does that sound like something you would just love to wake up to in the morning? How about having our kids learning in school that all those awesome, lofty goals are illnesses? I’ll go out on a limb and say no. If we examine their goals for us, they can easily be seen to be the direct opposite of what our Founding Fathers envisioned for this great country and incorporated into the Constitution – that precious, freedom-loving document which is, in effect, being banned in our schools with the implementation of Common Core.
