The theory of everything, is a movie based on the life of world-renowned theoretical physicist and cosmologist, Stephen Hawking. On the surface, the film appears to be peeling away the mysticism that shrouded Hawkings love life. But, it actually dives deeper into topics such as the challenges that we might face in life. The film did more than just document a mans life. It is more than just a love story. It serves as an inspiration, not just about overcoming the odds of facing imminent death but also about what it means to be a married couple. When things seem to be overwhelming you, it is always easier to give up than to carry on. There are many temptations out there that offer the easy way out, but staying together as a couple demonstrates what a marriage stands for - commitment. Moments of silence in the film make you wonder what Hawking might be thinking at that point in time. It could be nothing or it could be anything. But behind that frail and helpless front is a brilliant and humourous man who is never afraid of the hand he is dealt. You just have to keep trying. Like how the movie title sums it up, I left the theatre asking myself the question, is there a formula that perfectly explains everything? - how everything began and how everything will end. If life was all potatoes, it would be easy. But mix in a few peas and things get muddled. Life, as Ive come to understand, isnt simple. The search for that one beautiful formula to explain potatoes and peas will be a journey that every one of us has to go through. https://youtube/watch?v=8hRqGsdT4xs
