The thing I love about our engagement is that it was a mutual - TopicsExpress

The thing I love about our engagement is that it was a mutual agreement. It was almost like we communicated telepathically. We just knew. I didnt have to get on one knee and propose to her in front of a bunch of folks, adding pressure that she must say yes. Our trust in our process led us to the realization that we wanted to take that next step. One of the more beautiful experiences Ive ever had. Lately Ive been asked, how did you propose? Where did you take her?. We didnt do any of that. We went to the beach with our dog. Had pizza. Yet, we were going through a very difficult day(a challenge within our relationship so to speak) and we talked it out and together we worked through the situation. That confirmed everything for me in terms of wanting to get married. So, were in the kitchen and I bring her close to me and say, you know I wanna marry you right? And she says, I wanna marry you too as both of our eyes began to well up as they connect. A deep hug and a kiss followed, and then she asked me, should we announce? and that we did. It was that simple but it naturally happened. We had been planning on getting married for quite a while but it was on that day that we just knew it was time. Everything that led up to that point from the time we couldnt stand each other, to when we first became friends in Queens, NY, and to where we are now, happened naturally. It was its own process. I wouldnt take any of it back. #ThisIsBasicallyAnAnnouncment #TexasWedding
