The things they have in common here are that in both cultures the importance of education is recognized and socially impressed upon youth and the schools are a hub of learning viewed with reverence and respect. Not so in America. But probably teachers and curriculums are what need to change for us to match the success of these two countries right? Not the toxic culture of disrespect and irreverence for learning and education in our society. Surely.
