The time has come... We regret that it has taken so long to release this and we are doing so at a time where we have grown significantly in our craft. I wrote this when I was 17 and was 18 when we filmed. For these reasons there is much I would change if I could go back in time or remake it. None the less, it is a landmark for us and a taste of what we can do with so little. We have learnt so much from this process, both the successes and mistakes in all stages. Womans War has been made on a completely no budget basis up until this point and has been solely self-funded. Cast and crew put in their time, hard work, expertise and passion with no pay what’s so ever. I can honestly say I had a dream team. We made some incredible memories and had such an experience. I would of changed the team from the world - it was a constant learning process and they contributed to that along with making it so pleasurable. They were/are a credit to the production. Pre-production started in September 2012 when the films writer (me) began research into the films concept. She then approached Tess who she has worked with before briefly, asking if she wanted to direct it! Tess fell in love with the script and thankful was on board straight away. It wouldnt have been the same without her. After numerous re-drafts of the script, Tess and I went onto find locations, costumes, planning and most importantly – cast. Filming took place in March over three long and intense days beginning at 5am and ending at 10pm. Post-production began soon after and due to varying reasons, both technical and legal, took much longer than we had hoped. Thank you for all the support and love everyone has continuous shown over this whole journey. Its been amazing. Now, Christmas 2014, two years after filming finished, we can proudly present it to you. Without further adieu, we present Womans War... https://vimeo/115255894
