The time has come to make a short story long...Rod went to town in the Ranger yesterday late afternoon for diesel for the Gravely. O.K. At 6 hes coming thro the front door wanting to now where the phone is. He had come home, parked the truck on the bridge, 2-300 yards away from the house, to put the fuel into the mower & more dead wood on the fire to the right of the bridge where we burn. Not sure if there was a gas leak or bad wiring but the Ranger caught fire! Down here the F.D. is volunteer & they do a good job but it seemed they took their time. Of course, theres not much to do when a vehicle catches fire. Couldnt believe it went up so fast! There was no time to get things out of the pick-up so we lost some items but, nothing we cant replace. The stuff all over the bridge is not water. Its the remains of rubber,& plastic. Couldnt have imagined there would be so much wire holding everything together. O.K. Thats it. Drama over. Have a wonderful day & hoping nothing drastic goes wrong in your little world. Considering it all, Rod is taking this very well. He spent the rest of the night looking on line for another p.u.!! Cheez! LoveYa
