The transcript from the court which first convicted Amanda Knox reads like a medieval witch trial... The trial came at the end of a police investigation of stupendous incompetence and brutal, night-long interrogations of a teenage girl with poor Italian and whom was denied legal council. The verdict was manifestly unfair and overturned by the Supreme Court and sent back to the Appellate Court in Florence which obstinately upheld the original 2009 conviction. The saga will now return to the Supreme Court which is expected to once again over-turn the lower courts verdict and if it does so that will be the end of the farrago. If not the Italian government will have go through the motions even though it knows these cannot possibly succeed because it has to be seen to support its own judiciary. James Cameron. Well said!
