The true power of the Gospel message of Jesus is that it is not only personally transformative, but culturally and socially transformative. If we come to faith in Jesus Christ, but it remains only a personal Yeah me! phenomenon, then have we weakened and limited the power of the Gospel to change and impact our friends and communities. In Matthew 15, the Canaanite woman came to Jesus calling Him Lord, Son of David. She pleaded with Him to heal her daughter using Jesus messianic title. How would she have known such a term unless someone had told her about Jesus? Because someone told her who Jesus was, God birthed in her heart a persistent faith that grew as she interacted with Jesus. Is there a friend or family member that you need to persist in prayer on their behalf? With whom is God calling you to share the Gospel beyond yourself, regardless of economic status, ethnicity or nationality?
