The vast majority of enrollees in the state-run exchanges are not - TopicsExpress

The vast majority of enrollees in the state-run exchanges are not paying premiums and instead enrolling in Medicaid...that means it costs them nothing which means no money into the system to pay for the exchanges for everyone else. No surprise to me...I educated myself and learned that the law as written was intended to vastly increase medicaid by eviscerating medicare. $776 billion is taken out of medicare and shifted into medicaid for Obamacare...the old paying for the young now. One section of the law even gives bonus points to hospitals and drs for spending the LEAST per senior which means decreased care for the elderly. They already are predicting Medicare will run out of money in a few decades so why are they taking money out of it to give to the states to cover medicaid? Because under the ACA the intention is to put more people into medicaid so that they can then go to a single payer system. It was all by design. The numbers enrolling in medicaid would have been much higher had the 34 states accepted the medicaid expansion clause. So medicaid expansion is growing day by day with the only way to pay for it coming from the elderly and Medicare. Hang on folks, its only just begun.
