The violent element of some of the protests around here remind me of this scene from Airheads, where a bunch of headbanger white kids from the suburbs start chanting Rodney King. Im sure folks have heard about destruction of Big Wall Street Bank branches this weekend in Berkeley, and about some of the Ferguson related destruction and looting (dog food?!). One of the best actions that happened during Occupy Wall Street was when Occupy folks here shut down the Port of Oakland. OTOH, Ive heard about some bone-headed moves, like smashing the windows of mom and pop business on Telegraph in Oakland, and liberating UC Berkeleys research farms. Robin MacLean suggested poor education in public schools as one of the main culprits, in other words The Reagan Legacy and his followers who have been pushing testing instead of funding teaching for the last 35 years. https://youtube/watch?v=x8fw_rXzDVI
