The way I grew up on Facebook, deliberately misspelling words, poor punctuation, and bad grammar was the cool thing to do when posting FB statuses. Talking to others using the word thang when identifying an object was common. Seeing the other cool people on my feed did this as well, was a reinforcement for me to continue my behavior. Now that Im 23 in graduate school, and conducting tons of research, its hard to turn the FB Logan off. I write how I think and I think how I write. So when Im typing up 15 pages of words I tend to make a lot of grammar mistakes. Im just giving some advice to the young people to use correct grammar on social media, itll help when communicating digitally and verbally.
