The weather across Wakefield might be glorious, but when it’s too hot for too long there can also be health risks to some people. Hot weather can be very dangerous for young children, older people or those with serious illnesses. We’ve looking after our employees who work outside and on building sites, and we’re also monitoring our most vulnerable tenants to make sure they‘re okay. We ask all of our tenants to look out for each other too. Families and informal carers of the elderly or at risk people need to be extra vigilant and are being urged to monitor their welfare closely.
