The weather made for a bit of a rough ride during both trips yesterday, but there was plenty of wildlife to see. We watched two humpback whales swimming along side Atlantic white sided dolphins. There were also a few common dolphins spotted as well! In the morning the humpbacks engaged in a behavior called kelping, which is when they swim through marine plants. This is a purposeful behavior, and one we dont often get to see. There were also a couple of fin whales and minke whales in the area, and we were able to see a gray seal as well as a number of sea birds.
