The windy weather we have had the last few days did not shut down - TopicsExpress

The windy weather we have had the last few days did not shut down the bite for us on the Middle Owens near Bishop. It kicked into high gear today when the caddis went bonkers during a two hour lull in the NW wind. Veteran Drifter David Clemson shows a beautiful hen he got on a Spruce-A Bu streamer. His b.i.l. Chris Arns & him did over thirty today on their drift. Been windy on most fisheries the last few days and this has made conditions tough for fly fishers. Another shot of unstable weather for Thurs/Fri. then a significant warming trend that I predict will make the mothers day hatch at Crowley/Bridgeport one to remember. Still skinny on McGee for numbers, Upper Owens good, but tough to fish in many sections due to high water. Hot Creek also a good call when it lays down. be the fly...tom extensive website fish report at: sierradrifters
