Problem Statement To drop the ball used for carrying out the contraption in a basket or a cup properly with final energy conversion Description: The Contraptions must put the ball in the cup/basket. The cup/basket has to be placed at final stage. Rules: 1. Each team can have maximum 5 members. 2. A space of 10 ft.*10 ft. will be provided to each team 3. The minimum number of energy conversions needed to achieve your goal must be 6(six). 4. The last step of the contraption must be “TO DROP THE BALL IN THE BASKET/CUP.” 5. Hand touch is allowed only at the start then every hand touch will reduce points 6. The step where hand touch is used will not get any point. 7. A room and complete first day of the fest will be given for initial set up and for your familiarity with the set up Judging Criterion: 1. Number of energy conversions. 2. Types of energy conversions. 3. Energy conversions marks awarded a) Light,Sound and wind energy 10 b) Electrical energy 15 c) Mechanical,electrical components 20 d) Non-conventional energy 40 1. Originality of the ideas and innovativeness- out of 30 marks 2. Robustness of the contraption. 3. Marks for special effects like flames, compactness etc. 4. Parameters 4 & 5 carry 50 marks. 5.
