The women serving in our military deserve the same benefits enjoyed by other federal employees under the Family Medical Leave Act. That’s why I recently introduced the MOM Act. This bipartisan bill would ensure that our women in uniform have 12 weeks of maternity leave — double the six weeks they’re currently authorized. Extending maternity leave is the least we can do for our military families, and I’ll continue to fight to make this legislation a reality.
