The womens prayer area in Marrakech, Morocco. We went to many local Masajid and we were very grateful they all had womens areas masha Allah. This Masjid was in a small village out of the main city and building was quite small, however, they still had a womens area. As you can imagine, we hear so many excuses for a lack of womens spaces in the UK, hence it was enlightening to see an appreciation of women and recognition of their right to worship. In one Masjid the women were in a fledged tajweed class, and then rushed to prayer in jammah as the time for Asr came in. If we want to be truly Prophetic - we must recognise the right for women to worship, whether in their homes, in institutions or in the Masajid.
