The world is determined to help Sierra Leone end the Ebola crisis - TopicsExpress

The world is determined to help Sierra Leone end the Ebola crisis and we are off to a good start already. This first photo is of the leader of the United States CDC team in Sierra Leone, shown having a pleasant exchange with the leader of Chinas CDC Team in Sierra Leone this morning at the Ebola EOC meeting in Freetown. In the background is our Sierra Leone brother, Austin Demby who jetted in from CDC in America this week. The second photo is the leader of the Chinese CDC Team addressing a cross section of Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers and International diplomats at the Ebola EOC this morning. The meeting was shortly before the Deputy Ministers drove out of Freetown to various districts they have been assigned by President Koroma for the next three to four days. It can be recalled that the new Health Minister, Dr. Abubakarr Fofanah, had requested for President Koroma to be assigning him with twelve Deputy Ministers from other ministries to mann the 12 provincial districts on a 3 days per week basis until Ebola crisis ends. This is the first of such deployment. However, todays deployment also saw very high ranking Cabinet Ministers, as well deployed up the provinces by His Excellency the President. The last but not the least photo, is Momoh Konte, the patriot who is widely credited with the initiative that has kept Koinadugu totally free of Ebola, shown here chatting with the Chief Medical Officer of Sierra Leone, Dr. Brima Kargbo, shortly before Momoh takes off for Koinadugu. He has his TOR information pack in a blue WHO folder under his arm but that is the only thing he received from the meeting. All Cabinet Ministers and Stakeholders going up country, are doing so out of their pocket. Although assigned by the President, they are funding themselves. Ebola has brought out some of the best in Sierra Leoneans. Feel free to widely share these photos. I took them all and they have no copyright restrictions. Lets keep HOPE alive. (y)
