The world needs more kindness. Here are 13 concrete ideas: 1. Make a point of praising your loved ones, especially when they do acts of kindness. 2. Greet everyone you see with a smile. 3. Contact a nursing home and offer to give birthday presents to residents who do not have frequent visitors. Find out their birthdays and what presents they might enjoy. 4. When dining out, tip generously. 5.In conversation, judge peoples arguments based on their own merit, and not on personal issues. 6. Put a tzedakah box in a convenient place in the house and put your spare change in it daily or weekly. When its full, bring it to a charity. 7. Be quick to forgive those who have wronged you- especially family members. 8. Spend time today thinking about how your social group impacts you- both positively and negatively. 9. Get a few friends to donate their time and talents to help others. 10. Offer to host a family who is in town for medical reasons. 11. Lend money to someone you know. Have him pay you back by lending the same sum of money to someone else in the future or pay it forward. 12. Offer to mow a neighbors lawn. 13. Call someone who is going through a difficult time. Select one to do today and another for tomorrow…have a Shabbat Shalom and awesome (and peaceful) weekend.
