The year was 1993. I was a partner in a small company outta Minnesota, called BEACON. Most ideas were born riding chairlifts on the midwest mole hills. Usually, it started with, You know what we should do? We should make a traction mat outta fake rubber puke! After researching the Thomas Registry, (big green books - sorry kids, no internet) we found a manufacture that helped us figure out a way to make large versions of their original joke store prank. Hand-poured in some crusty shed in the south, we had them adhesive-backed and hand-cut with swiveling Exacto blades. (snowboard labor) We released under the brand CHEEZEBALL, and named them PILE-O-BILE. We were tiny, but enjoyed the wild ride from 1992 to 1998. Anybody have one of these?
