The zest for life, my dearest - let’s have it more, more and more. For the last three weeks you had Been ill, and really I thought my Dear the end was near, but now Again you’re feeling well, and I Can feel the zest for life you must Still have - another miracle I know Had taken place, you must have known How I really felt, your zest for life, is mine Too – as the two of us are meant for one. Ah my dearest - I’ll never get tired being Amazed, I’ve some friends – not long before So alive and strong, now gone ahead of us. Who can really tell whose next in line – who’ll Cross the line – though we think we can control And we’re in control - only God knows, but we Should all just have to be prepared when the time Comes -and if believing in miracles help - why, Then believe , as I have done; and as I somehow See in the eyes of the maya birds I feed in the morning And the sight of joy in the lovebirds pecking my fingers As I feed them, as if consoling me - I can write more Lines, more and more - and the beauty I can feel all Around me - the zest for life, you and I my dearest, For as long as we can have it and so long as God grants it, let’s have more of it, more and more and more.
