TheDTConcept Parisvor 4 Stunden I ll try to make it quiet short because there is a lot of symbolism and it could take a few pages to explain all precisly. The four acts taking place in the video are surealistic expressions of metaphores and part of the lyrics. The woman who pours red paint on the globe, plays with it and stabs it, symbolises the loss of control of finance and economy and how those systems buit to help us, to reduce poverty, backfired and slaughter (economicly) entire nations and their populations. The man getting dragged by a rope represents the weight of the invisible hand on the people (Adam smith), the man is dragged by a rope pulled by nothing. The Pupet man on the beach is the quiet simple to understand, its just a man struggling to keep control face to those who in the sake of their own weath bargain on our lives. The man in the field eating bolts is maybe the most surealistic and there would be so much to say but to keep it simple. Its the expression of the Frankenstein/ Finance comparison made in the first verse. Man created economy and finance to help his society evolve and breaches were found and the moment people stated to understand they were already being hunted by their own creation (the frankenstein reference is to the original book which is quiet different from any movie you can find). The ants coming out of the defield globe are a blink to the movie Le Chien Andalou by Dali and Bunuel and symbol of rebirth, hope of a way out, after the slaughter the nations and people start back from scratch.
