There are a few basic kitchen tools that you’ll need for quick and healthy meal prep. A good, heavy skillet, for example, makes the difference between a perfectly seared, juicy chicken breast and a pale, dried-out chunk of chicken. So here’s a list of “Must Haves” along with a few specialty gadgets that will make your cooking life a whole lot easier. And a little tip: always buy the best quality equipment you can afford. That way you’ll buy the thing once, and not over and over again each time it breaks! ~ Good Cutting Knives (Start with the Chefs Knives) ~ Basic Set of Pots (Choose stainless steel rather than aluminum, because the aluminum in cookware can leach into your food) ~ Strainers ~ Skillet (Cast iron or Ceramic non-stick) ~ Peeler ~ Measuring cups and spoons ~ Cooking spoons (Preferrebly Bamboo) ~ Cutting Board (bamboo last longer and make sure to get a separate board for cutting fish, vegetables, and other meats) ~ Slow Cooker (This is my favorite must have because its good for those with busy lifestyles) ~ Blender (Perfect for green smoothies!! My favorite is the Ninja but there are other good ones like Vitamix, NutriBullet, Hamilton Beach, etc) These are a few essential items you must have for your kitchen especially if you plan to live a healthy lifestyle!!
